Transition to Self-Service Time Entry and Tracking
1 September 2021
As part of the completion of the university’s transition of support staff to self-serve time tracking reporting in PeopleSoft HCM, by September, support staff should be using PeopleSoft HCM self-serve for time entry.
Over the course of the rest of 2021, the support that embedded timekeepers currently provide for time and labour processes will transition to Shared Services. Shared Services will reach out to supervisors and timekeepers in faculties and units who still rely on timekeepers for pre-approved time entry and other activities to work with them to transition their remaining support activities to the Time and Labour Services team. If you’re in a faculty or unit that currently relies on timekeepers for time entry, you can expect to hear more.
With this change, we need your help to support your team as we move to the new model. This will involve:
- Supervisors correcting time entries themselves or communicating with support staff directly to correct errors, rather than relying on a timekeeper.
- Supervisors ensuring support staff on their teams enter their time through self service in PeopleSoft HCM. If you have any questions related to Time and Labour Administration, please contact the Staff Service Centre.
