Clarity for researchers on March 17 deadline for travel, expense, and professional expense reimbursement claims

As a researcher, you may have questions about the March 17, 2023 deadline to submit travel, expense and professional expense reimbursement claims. While this year's process is consistent with previous years, the new deadline was put in place to help manage the high volume of transactions at year end.

Spending can continue until the end date of your project and claims can continue to be submitted after March 17, 2023. However, we recommend claims be submitted as soon as possible after travel or expenses have been incurred. This will help reduce the number of projects that may need to be reopened after their closure date.

This year's process to submit vendor and accounts payable invoices, payment request forms, salary/benefit adjustments, and general ledger journal adjustment (accruals) is also the same as last year. All of these transactions are due by April 6, 2023.
