Updates to Labour Market Impact Assessments Wage Requirements

The Government of Canada announced new wage requirements for Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs). Starting Nov.8, 2024,  workers entering Canada through the high-wage stream must be paid at least 20 per cent more than the current median wage in the province or territory where they will work. This change is part of the Government of Canada’s ongoing updates to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
