Dr. Jeff Brassard at Centre for Criminological Research

Congratulations to Dr. Jeff Brassard, a sessional instructor and Researcher in Residence at SJC for the past several years, who has recently been appointed as the Administrative Coordinator for the Center for Criminological Research and an Assistant Instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Brassard was the principal investigator on the Catholic Edmonton Research project, which looked at perceptions of and attitudes toward Catholicism in the Edmonton area. His research interests include television in the Russian Federation and Evangelical Christian media in North America.

As well as several courses to be taught in the Department of Sociology this academic year, Dr. Brassard will be offering CHRTC 241 "Catholicism and Pop Culture" at SJC in the Winter Term. Additionally, he will be involved in coordinating with stakeholders and funders of the Center for Criminological Research, organizing their annual conference and helping scholars at the Center disseminate their research.
