Baha Abu-Laban Appointed to Member of the Order of Canada

Professor Emeritus Baha Abu-Laban has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada for his "contributions as a scholar and volunteer building a more inclusive society." Dr. Abu-Laban is a former department Chair and Associate Vice-President, an early and leading Canadian scholar in the area of race and ethnic studies / immigration, and an organizational leader who played important roles in many important multicultural organizations.
