The Prince Takamado Japan Centre is pleased to announce an up-coming event to be hosted at the University of Alberta.
Ms. Shiko Kataoka will be returning to the UofA for a special calligraphy demonstration where audience members will have the rare opportunity to see this Master Calligrapher at work. During the demonstration, an introduction to the world famous story "The Tale of Genji" will be given, followed by a hands-on demonstration where Ms. Kataoka will write selected passages from the story using traditional Japanese calligraphy tools and techniques.
