What interests you most about this area of study?

I was drawn to this field because of the tremendous impact pharmaceutical research has on so many people. I was particularly interested in advancing drug delivery technologies to create more effective formulations. The prospect of designing effective and affordable pharmaceuticals for chronic conditions to improve patient quality of life and health outcomes made me eager to study in this field.

Did you receive any financial awards or supports throughout your studies?

Financial support was provided by the NSERC CGS-M scholarship, the Walter H Johns Graduate Fellowship, the Mitacs Accelerate internship program, and the Shoppers Drug Mart Graduate Scholarship in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. I’m very grateful for the support these funding sources provided to allow me to successfully complete my research and graduate degree.
