Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

University of Alberta installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in select parking lots. Find more information on EV charging stations.

Carshare

The university is a proud partner of Communauto Alberta. Communauto lets you rent a vehicle for a short period of time, making occasional driving affordable and providing incentive reduce driving overall. Learn more about Communauto.

Park your Communauto car conveniently on campus for free! Park on the top level of the Windsor, Stadium or Education car parks, Lot L, Lot U, or Lot N.

Right now, Communauto is offering free registration and 15 free minutes to university students and staff. Check out the details!

Carpool Parking

A carpool is three or more drivers (who live at different addresses) who regularly commute to the university together. Registering as a carpool at UAlberta gives members special permit-sharing privileges and access to premium parking stalls. Learn more about carpooling at UAlberta.

Bicycle Parking

UAlberta provides free bike racks outside most buildings on campus. Visit Campus Map to see specific bike rack locations. We also offer four secure bike lock-up cages on North Campus (Education Car Park, Stadium Car Park, Cameron and Rutherford) and eight bike lockers behind ECHA; cyclists may purchase a permit from Parking Services.
