Kate Young is a 2007 graduate of the BScN program.
Young is a 2007 graduate of the BScN program who has cultivated a passion for bringing together health-systems and front-line lenses, first through her clinical work, and later through her pursuit of an MBA and subsequent work as a consultant with KPMG.
"Nursing helps me to bring a human component to everything I do," says Young. "Nurses are taught to be both 'systems people' and 'people people' - this unique skill set equips us to understand how patients and providers are impacted by the decisions we make at a systems level and how we can best support them through large-scale changes."
As the new Alumni Board Chair, Kate hopes to connect with and learn from generations of nursing leaders. "I'm interested in hearing what the nursing leaders are thinking, and where the alumni pulse is at. I'm excited to engage with our community."
