The Associate Dean (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) supports university, college and faculty-level EDI activities, providing advice and resources to faculty and department leaders, EDI committees, academic and non-academic staff and students.

Indigenous Initiatives

The Indigenous Initiatives Strategic Officer works collaboratively with the college, faculty and staff to seamlessly integrate Indigenous initiatives and perspectives into their work and teaching, ensuring alignment with the CNAS's strategic direction, the university’s Braiding Past, Present, and Future strategic plan, and the imperatives outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.

Interdisciplinary + Inclusive Education

Office of Education

Led by the director, the Office of Education provides administrative support to academic units in the faculties of ALES, Engineering and Science. The key service functions of this office are: academic integrity; course scheduling and timetabling; student systems; and program coordination.

Research

The research portfolio is led by the associate dean (STEM research). This unit is focused on creating barrier-free, interdisciplinary, and large-scale research programs as well as facilitating complex partnerships.
