Miriam Khalil (Soprano), Laura Veeze (Violin), and Maria Kiki-Protodyakonova (Piano) are inspired by the theme of Romance, both as the love-themed poetry, and as a genre of art song, composed by many composers across different styles and eras. This trio will perform arrangements for voice, piano and violin by the Romantic era masters Camille Saint-Saens, Hector Berlioz and Serge Rachmaninoff, as well as the 20th century American composer Amy Beach, and modern British composer Errolyn Wallen. Miriam, Laura and Maria are excited to collaborate as a voice/violin/piano trio and arrange some of the known songs and violin/piano pieces to create a conversation between the three instruments.
