Velma Kelly said to Roxie Hart, "I simply cannot do it alone." These immortal words from Kander and Ebb's Chicago provide the foundation for the 2012 Ncounters Graduate Conference, presented by the Graduate Music Students' Association.
Entitled "Putting it Back Together: Reconstructing Collaboration in Music," this year's conference concludes a Ncounters season that has broken down the components that make musical compositions and/or musical performances complete works of art. We have looked at such aspects as technology, sound, people and words. We look forward to welcoming graduate students from the University of Alberta and across Canada to bring all of the pieces back together at our year-ending symposium.
