Arts Lounge & Student Spaces
A variety of student spaces are available for Music students and staff to study, socialize, and stage events or meetings in. To make arrangements to book any of these or other facilities, please contact the Production & Operations office: prodops@ualberta.ca
Old Arts Lounge
Allowing standing room for approximately 60 people or sofa-style seating for 25, the Old Arts Lounge is ideal for after-concert events, receptions and/or meetings. Vending machines are located in a segregated area at the back. Adjoining the Arts Foyer, the Lounge is an ideal place for a casual gathering. The room offers one round serving table and four rectangular serving tables. This space is not suitable for wedding receptions.
FAB and HUB Student Spaces
The Fine Arts Building (FAB) houses common spaces where students are able to socialize and work in between classes. They are located throughout the Fine Arts Building, which is connected via pedway to HUB mall where students can also enjoy many lounge areas in addition to the countless restaurants, stores and services.
Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology (CCE)
Private study workspaces and a group meeting space are available inside the Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology and Sound Studies Initiative (SSI) offices, which are located on the third floor of the Old Arts building. These student spaces can can be booked through the Music General Office.
