Are you interested in travelling to Italy as part of your graduate studies?
Are you a practitioner in the area of public involvement, civic engagement, or employee engagement?
If so, you may want to consider a graduate course, COMM 597 Public Involvement in International Comparison, which will offer graduate students in Communications and Technology and related interdisciplinary areas the opportunity to examine, reflect on, and respond to the social, political, and economic antecedents and consequences of varying civic traditions, using comparative examples from Canada and Italy. Of particular interest in the course will be innovations in practice and theory in public involvement in Canada and Italy. The planned dates for the tour are 21 September 2013 until 7 October 2013, with some pre- and post-trip study to be completed by students individually. The cost of the tour will be about $6,500 and will include the tuition for the course, as well as hotel accommodation, meals, and travel to three regions in Italy.
