Please join us in congratulating Joanna Harrington on her new appointment as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law!
Professor Harrington specializes in international law, including transnational criminal law, the international protection of human rights, and domestic law relevance of international obligations and is a past member of the Canadian Human Rights Commission. She has spent the last two and a half years as Associate Dean (Research) with the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and as Senior Advisor to the Vice President (Research and Innovation).
During her tenure with the college, Professor Harrington was the driving force behind the Office of Research’s support and tools, and using innovative communication platforms to launch valuable knowledge mobilization resources. “As the faculty launches a strategic planning process and explores several new programming initiatives, having someone as experienced as Professor Harrington in the Vice Dean role will be of great benefit to the faculty. I look forward to working with her!” says Fiona Kelly, Dean of Law.
