Admission Requirements
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4 point scale or equivalent in the last two years of previous relevant studies. Please note: having a minimum 3.0 or equivalent does not guarantee that your application will be successful. Admission is competitive and applicants will be ranked with all applicants in a given admission year.
- For international applicants, an English Language Proficiency is required. Please note that our program minimums are higher than GPS. The two most common tests are:
- TOEFL: a minimum score of 100 (Internet based) with at least a 20 on the individual skill areas.
- IELTS: a minimum score of 7.0 but will consider a 6.5 with at least a 6.0 on each band.
For other tests acceptable to us or to find out which tests we do not accept, please see exemption list the ELP requirements. The link will also include exempt countries and universities.
Masters Degree Program
Our schedule is designed to work with the needs of working professionals from Canada and overseas. Each course is delivered over three alternate weekends (one weekend in class followed by one weekend off), making it convenient for people to travel to and from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for study and causing minimal interruption to full or part-time employment. Please note that due to instructor availability some courses may not be offered on weekends. In most cases we can make alternate arrangements.
