Congratulations to John-Paul Himka, John Kitchen, Linda Kerr, Michael Polushin, and Susan Smith for being among the nominees for The Last Lecture 2015!
The Last Lecture Series asks a speaker to answer one question in the form of a highly engaging public lecture: "If this were your last time to address a group of students, what would you say to them?" The Last Lecture is an opportunity for the broader U of A community to hear from either a favourite faculty member or a high-profile alumnus, and in turn for the lecturer to share their reflections beyond the bounds of syllabus in a fun, informal setting.
The concept of a "Last Lecture" became nationally recognized in 2007 with Dr. Randy Pausch, who gave his "Last Lecture" speech on September 18, 2007 at Carnegie Mellon.
