Cherneski won an award for best undergraduate history paper. This year's keynote speaker was Professor Shelly McKellar of Western University, a specialist in the history of medical technology. Her talk was entitled, "Surgical Transgressions? Michael DeBakey, Denton Cooley and the Controversial Artificial Heart Implant Case of 1969." This annual event is co-sponsored by the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and the Faculty of Arts.
