Button Design Contest

Many of you are familiar the buttons that we have available at the main office and now you can be part of the magic! We are reaching out to our students for two new button designs: one History and one Classics. Each winning design will receive a $25 cash prize and have their button produced to be used for advertising, recruitment, and just plain awesome accessories!

Submit designs to histclass@ualberta.ca or in person to the main office, Tory 2-28 by 4:30pm, Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

Notes

• Department/Faculty/University identifiers will be added around the outer edge of the button (see examples below).
• Designs can be submitted in any image format (JPG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, PNG, AI, etc) or PDF but will have to be converted for production so please keep your artwork and fonts handy.
• Hand drawn artwork originals should be at least 5 - 10 inches round in order to get the best quality scan for final production.
• Final button faces are approximately one inch round so simplicity is key. Images should be clean. Text should be clear and easy to read.
• No limit on entries, feel free to submit more than one design.

• Entrants must be a current History or Classics major, minor, or honors student.
• By submitting an entry you give The Department of History & Classics permission to use your design to produce and use buttons with your design for advertising/recruitment purposes for the foreseeable future/indefinitely.
