Professor David Chariandy

Join us February 5-8 for the English and Film Studies Distinguished Visitor Series!
Award winning creative writer and thinker, David Chariandy, joins the UofA for a week-long visit during Black History Month. A member of the Royal Society of Canada, Chariandy is the foremost thinker on Black Canadian and Black Global Studies.
His beautifully written books include, “I Have Been Meaning to Tell You: A Letter to my Daughter” (2018), “Soucouyant” (2007) and “Brother” (2017), recently made into a full-length feature film.
