2009 English and Creative Writing Graduate Andrea Beça

Andrea Beça graduated in 2009 with a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Alberta. She went on to complete an MLitt in Playwriting and Dramaturgy at the University of Glasgow, and after almost a decade working in theatre, moved into the world of film in 2013. She has been working as a freelance writer, filmmaker, and photographer since 2015, and has worked in various roles on projects for Telus Optik Local, Storyhive, and CBC, among others. Shortly after becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Andrea started a podcast, That's So Maven!, centered on femmes in business and leadership.
