AMQUA Next Generation Award: Scott Cocker

Dear friends and colleagues,

It was a real pleasure to be present at the American Quaternary Association biennial meeting in Madison, Wisconsin, to see Scott Cocker receive the Next Generation award from that organization. The AMQUA Next Generation Award recognizes North American early-career Quaternary scientists who demonstrate committed and creative leadership in advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in science.

As many of you know, Scott has been a tireless advocate for advancing these causes in our department, university, and in the broader scientific community. All this in addition to his PhD field and lab research on paleoecology of unglaciated Yukon during the late Pleistocene.

Congratulations to Scott on receiving this national-level award.
