Congratulations to Bruce Sutherland on the recent recognition of his scientific contributions by the American Physical Society (APS). Bruce has been elected as a Fellow of the APS, an honour bestowed upon no more than one half of one percent of the membership per year. The society, founded in 1899, with greater than 50,000 members, is the world's second largest organization of physicists. Bruce's election as a Fellow was based on his "pioneering research on internal waves, co-invention of the synthetic Schlieren method, and writing an influential textbook on internal waves."
Congratulations to Dr. Bruce Sutherland
