Synopsis: The Cowboy Kid is a 30 year old immigrant butcher who watches old Westerns and dreams of being a cowboy. He heads West searching for Saddle River, a place where "the grass is green, the river runs clear, and there's blue sky as far as the eye can see." The Kid catches a ride with SAM, a dubious travelling salesman with a bad golf swing. With the Kid's saddle hitched to the roof of Sam's Honda Civic, they drive and putt their way into a world filled with odd characters, misadventures and stunningly beautiful Alberta landscapes. Written and directed by Tofield's own Francis Damberger, and shot entirely in Alberta, Road to Saddle River is a classic Canadian road movie comedy.
