Fair Trade Campus
The Fair Trade Campus designation is a program by Fairtrade Canada. The program recognizes Canadian colleges and universities that are committed to fair trade. The University of Alberta has earned the Fair Trade Campus designation for North Campus, South Campus and Campus Saint-Jean.
Fair trade is a trading partnership based on dialogue, transparency and respect, which seeks greater equity in international trade. Fair trade supports fair pay and safe working conditions for economically marginalized producers.
