If you and your partner are going through a tough time or looking to improve your relationship, couples therapy can help. Your therapist can help you better communicate, better understand and address relationship concerns, and resolve conflict. People seek couples therapy for many reasons including issues with communication, trust, transitions/changes, infidelity, sex, loneliness and mental health issues that might be affecting their relationship.
How to Access
One person in the couple must be a U of A student to be eligible for the service.
To get started, book an initial consultation by calling 780.492.5205 or visit 2-600 SUB during business hours.
An initial consultation is a 30-40 minute meeting with a mental health clinician to help define your needs and plan the next steps. The consultation can be done in person, by phone or virtually. Both members of the couple must be present for the appointment.
Please note that due to high demand, we may refer you to other services.
