Student Service Centre
Student services for Continuing Education students can be accessed at the Student Service Centre.
Self-Service Options
Register in a class:- Add classes to your shopping cart on this website or log into the CERegister student portal and navigate to Courses > Search/Discover Course offering > Add to Cart > Checkout
- Learners can transfer courses by logging into the CERegister student portal and navigating to My Enrollment History > Select Request Transfer.
- A fee will apply for all transfers
- The ‘Request Transfer’ button will display only if the deadline has not yet passed. Be sure to read our refund, withdrawal, and transfer policies
- Learners can drop a course by logging into the CERegister student portal and navigating to My Enrollment History > Select Request Drop.
- Drop requests submitted 5 days before the course starts are eligible for a refund, less an administrative fee. No grade is issued.
- Drop requests submitted between 4 days and the course start date, no refund will be issued, and no grade will be issued.
- Learners can withdraw from a course by logging into the CERegister student portal and navigating to My Enrollment History > Select Request Withdrawal.
- Learners can withdraw from a course between the course start date and the last date of class.
- No refund is issued.
- A grade of Withdraw, with Permission (WP) will display on your transcript.
Letter of Completion requests
- Log into Bear Tracks , expand the "Academics" menu, select "Transcript," then change the report type to "Continuing Education Official."
- Refer to the HRDF website for how to submit your HRDF application. Check your application funding status at hrdf@ualberta.ca. Once approved, complete a course registration form and submit it to the Student Service Centre.
By Phone
The Student Service Centre now offers a callback service for Non-Degree Continuing Education students who need assistance with registration. Please join the online queue any time during our business hours to request a call from an advisor.
If you are brand new to the University of Alberta, or already have an existing CCID, bypass the call back queue by registering yourself online through Bear Tracks. Please see the online self-service items below for more information.
If you are joining the queue before 2 p.m. MST, please expect the Student Service Centre to call you back within the day, volume permitting. If you are joining the queue after 2 p.m. MST, please expect a call the following business day.

The Student Service Centre is located in the Administration Building at the University of Alberta North Campus.
Regular Office Hours:
Monday – Friday 9 am – 4:15 pm
Wednesday 10 am – 4:15 pm
Non-Degree continuing education payment office hours:
Monday – Friday 9 am – 2:30 pm
Wednesday 10 am – 2:30 pm
