Rich Sutton receives the 2024 ACM A.M. Turing Award

Andrew G. Barto and Richard S. Sutton are named by ACM as the recipients of the 2024 A.M. Turing Award, which is often described as the “Nobel Prize of Computing”; it recognizes individuals who have made groundbreaking contributions to computer science and includes a $1 million prize. The 2024 Turing award is being awarded for laying the foundations to Reinforcement Learning - to this day, one of the most influential approaches to Artificial Intelligence.
