Two Computing Science Profs win the Brockhouse Prize

Wishart and Greiner awarded the 2024 NSERC Brockhouse Prize for Interdisciplinary Research, for "Machine Learning for Metabolomics" collaboration.

The University of Alberta and the Department of Computing Science are proud to announce that Dr. David Wishart (Biological Sciences & Computing Science) and Dr. Russ Greiner (Computing Science & Amii) have been awarded the prestigious 2024 NSERC Brockhouse Prize for Interdisciplinary Research. The prize was presented in Ottawa on 6 November 2024, recognizing their groundbreaking work combining machine learning with chemistry to advance the fields of biochemistry, drug discovery, and metabolomics.
