The IBM Alberta Center for Advanced Studies, a research collaboration between the University of Alberta, University of Calgary and IBM, has just released new videos and stories to celebrate 10 years of successful projects together. It was created by Professor Emeritus Paul Sorenson in 2005, and is now co-chaired by Computing Science Professor J. Nelson Amaral.
The center has had many acheivements, including research by our Department's own Russ Greiner, who has made breakthrough is the usage of machine-learning to help analyze patterns in the brain that relate to various medical conditions.
