Perfectly Patched: A Re[work] shop
Community Service-Learning (CSL), EcoChic, and the Human Ecology Student Association (HESA) will be hosting Perfectly Patched, a creative upcycling event!
Got clothes that need a little love? Transform your clothes into one-of-a-kind pieces at this creative upcycling event.
Practice sustainable fashion techniques with us! We'll provide sewing machines, tools, embroidery hoops, fabric scraps, and hands-on instruction from HESA volunteers. Learn about EcoChic, a UofA student-led startup developing an app to expose the negative impacts of fast fashion and promote sustainable practices. CSL will also be there to support our collaborative learning environment, ensuring everyone has a chance to ask questions and enjoy the experience together!
Dig through your closet and bring a piece of clothing that you'd like to rework and repair!
Drop-ins are welcome, but sign-up is encouraged so we have enough materials for everyone!
