Natural Movement: Foot-Hand Crawl - with CCR Fitness Instructor Chelsea Coghill!
Key practice principles:
- Warm-up to mobilize wrists and activate the core
- Use wrist stretches before, during and/or after practice
- Take breaks as needed and do not push any parts of the body into positions that cause pain
- Maintain a flat back, neck aligned with the spine, core engaged and press the ground away from your body
- Hover the knees just off of the ground and keep the hips slow
- Move slowly, focusing on contralateral patterning technique and body position over speed
- Build up your time and distance as your conditioning increases
- Add this movement to a workout as a timed interval (30 seconds to 2 minutes) or for distance (25-50 feet)
