International Business
Accounting for differences in language, culture, and law in our globalized economy makes doing business across international borders a specialized and challenging field.
This major widens your perspectives, teaches new approaches, and prepares you to do business in the global marketplace. Differences in language, culture, and law mean that business managers must be prepared to tackle these issues.
Critical thinking + cultural awareness
In this major, you will learn the critical thinking skills and cultural awareness to make sound business decisions in any marketplace. You'll take coursework in the fundamental areas of business as well as language and cultural studies courses. Both Canadian and international businesses want to recruit adventurous, innovative, critical-thinking and problem-solving graduates who understand and can perform across borders and in the new global economy.
The Alberta School of Business has strong university and business partnerships in a range of countries and there are numerous opportunities to incorporate international exchange into your BCom studies.
