Introduction:

Universidad de Lima is an autonomous nonprofit institution aimed at providing higher education, promoting research, and serving the community in order to contribute to the country’s development. The University's service-oriented vocation impels the institution to forge leaders with an integrating vision who are committed to the country and decisively contribute to the progress and development.

It was founded and officially recognized by the Peruvian government in 1962. Today, it has a student body of over 14,000 students, three undergraduate schools with eight colleges, one Graduate School, one General Studies Program, and a Scientific Research Institute. It also counts with numerous services for students, teachers, and the community in general.

It is located in Lima, the capital city of Peru. Lima is a modern city in constant growth, that also maintains the wealth of its Historical Center. Peru is home to great cultural wealth and scenery, offering visitors countless alternatives for travel, learning its history, and experiencing a variety of climates in a single territory.

Special Admission Requirements:

While official certification of Spanish proficiency is not required, it is "strongly recommended" to have at least an intermediate proficiency — Spanish B2 level (written & spoken).

Full-time Course Load: no more than 5 courses/semester (4 ULima credit ≈ 3 UofA credit)

Language(s) of Instruction: English (for Management, Economics, Engineering, Marketing & Int'l Business courses) or Spanish

Course Restrictions: Exchange students are allowed to take non-business courses from other faculties (provided they possess adequate language proficiency)
