Introduction
The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is a top university specialized in finance, economics, and business. The Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM), with which the ASB has a direct partnership, was established in 2006. SWUFE is located in Chengdu, the engine-city for the development of Western China and the fourth-largest aviation hub in China.

Funding support from SWUFE RIEM for exchange students from the Alberta School of Business in the form of up to CNY10,000 (~CAD $1,900) for airfare reimbursement and a housing stipend of CNY2,500 (~CAD$500) for up to 5 months.
