What is KV Capital?

Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, KV Capital has enjoyed rapid growth since its inception as a start-up venture in 2006 focused strictly on mortgage brokerage to a multi-faceted financial services and investment firm. Our operations now include commercial lending and mortgage brokerage, residential mortgage brokerage, private equity investments and asset management.

Today, KV Capital manages a portfolio with approximately $250M in assets under management split across commercial mortgages and private equity; has originated, underwritten, administered and funded over $1B in commercial mortgage financing; and has access to annual commercial mortgage deal flow in excess of approximately $2B.

KV Capital began working with the Alberta School of Business nearly one year ago. Can you tell me more about KV Capital's relationship with the School?

The majority of KV Capital team members are University of Alberta alumni or graduates of other Edmonton-based post-secondary institutions. So our team and organization has benefited from the incredible education that the University and other institutions offer and the opportunities it can create for the future. Our people are all grateful for that experience and opportunity. It’s important to us to demonstrate that gratitude and respect for the institutions by supporting the school in its mission and helping to provide opportunities for the next generation coming in behind us. The opportunity came up with the school and we decided why wait any longer.

What does this commitment to support the School mean for KV Capital?
