Jordan: Humayma Archaeological Field School

Immerse yourself in the ancient history and culture of the Middle East by joining an archaeological project at Humayma, in southern Jordan! During this three-week field school from late May to early June, you will be introduced to archaeological survey methods and learn how to record and document ancient architecture and artefacts. You will also experience the rich cultural history and breathtaking natural beauty of Jordan through field trips to Petra, Jerash, and Wadi Rum.

This 6-credit course is open to students with a background in Classics, Classical Archaeology, Anthropology, Art History and Ancient History. Students from other disciplines are encouraged to apply too but should contact the project director prior to sending in their application.
