Outstanding UAlberta faculty, students, and staff honoured

The Faculty of Arts a standout at the annual "Celebrate! Teaching, Learning and Research" ceremony

Donna McKinnon - 12 October 2018

On Wednesday, October 10, the University of Alberta honoured the achievements of faculty, students and staff at the "Celebrate! Teaching, Learning and Research" ceremony, and once again the Faculty of Arts was strongly represented.

The annual event celebrates outstanding individuals at UAlberta - from faculty who bring their research to life in the classroom; graduate and undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves in their academic and extracurricular endeavours; and finally, to staff who support research and learning at every level.

In reaching across the entire University of Alberta community, the Celebrate! Teaching, Learning and Research event truly echoes the words of Henry Marshall Tory, the founding president of the University of Alberta: "The people demand that knowledge shall not be the concern of scholars alone. The uplifting of the whole people shall be its final goal."

Congratulations to all our deserving recipients!
