Alicia Yang began her path at the University of Alberta, where she pursued an MSc in Health Promotion. As an international student, she embraced the opportunities and challenges of a new environment, a testament to her resilience and eagerness to learn. Her academic pursuits were further enriched by earning a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, equipping her with a blend of expertise to make meaningful contributions in healthcare.

Alicia’s professional journey, marked by roles at Covenant Health and Alberta Health Services, has been driven by a passion for patient and resident engagement, healthcare quality improvement, and effective project management. Her voluntary engagements and leadership roles within the School of Public Health Alumni Chapter and Emerging Health Leaders highlight her commitment to community and collective growth.

As she joins the Alumni Council as a Member at Large, Alicia is motivated by a simple yet profound desire: to give back to the university community that has shaped her journey and offered her so much.
