Alex Kwan, ‘20 PharmD 
Member at Large

Alex is a proud alumnus of the University of Alberta Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Class of 2020. During his time as a student, he demonstrated a strong passion for student involvement and commitment for making a positive impact on the university community. Alex was involved with a variety of extracurricular activities including student government, Greek life, and academic research.

After graduation, Alex went on to complete a pharmacy residency with Cancer Care Alberta in Calgary. He returned to Edmonton in 2021 and joined the Cross Cancer Institute as a clinical pharmacist providing care to patients in breast cancer and malignant hematology treatment. Alex continues to be involved with his alma mater, precepting pharmacy students and providing student mentorship. He is also actively engaged in his community, serving as a board of director on Momentum Counselling and sits on various committees with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.

As a member of the alumni council, Alex is committed to supporting the university’s mission and vision. Alex is proud to be a part of the university’s community and he is passionate about giving back to his alma mater in meaningful ways.
