Message from the Chair
Our mission is to enhance emergency medical care through excellence in education, research, and community service. We're committed to understanding and embodying this mission, using best evidence and technology for exceptional patient care, and treating those who are sick, injured, or scared with care, respect, and dignity. Our mission and values guide us to make a meaningful impact in patients' lives.
I'm inspired by "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Expupéry, and a specific quote that shapes my vision as Chair: "If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." My challenge to all of you, is "to long for the immensity of the sea", embrace the possibilities of what our department can become and to join us on this journey.
