Inaugural Faculty of Education Iftar
Thursday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Please join the Faculty of Education, as we host our first Iftar Dinner, hosted by the Centre for Research for Teacher Education and Development (CRTED) as a space for collective gathering, reflection, and support.
While the primary audience is the Muslim community, the Iftar will be open to all members of the Faculty of Education and broader communities, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. By welcoming allies, colleagues, and peers, we aim to encourage cross-cultural learning, interfaith dialogue, and community building.
This event is particularly important for any students who self-identify as newcomers, displaced, and international students, many of whom may be spending Ramadan away from family for the first time. By offering a warm and inclusive gathering, we hope to create a supportive environment that embodies the principles of mutual aid and collective care.
Shape the Future
Our Education students are tomorrow’s change makers—tackling today's challenges to create more inclusive, informed and inspired learning environments. They will break down barriers, push the boundaries of education research and practice, and ignite the curiosity of future generations. They will, with your support. Join the Shape the Future campaign and help us provide students with the resources and experiences they need to become educational innovators and community leaders.
