Past Lectures

The inaugural Philippine Studies Lecture was given in September 2023 by her excellency Maria Austria, Ambassador of the Philippines to Canada. Ambassador Austria spoke on the subject of “Philippines-Canada Bilateral Relations”, and described the general importance of this relationship in terms of politics, economics, and cultural exchanges. There was a lively and serious discussion of her talk with audience members, including significant discussion of challenges facing the Filipino diaspora community in Canada.
