Student Conduct and Accountability
SCA collaborates with campus partners to prevent misconduct, promote integrity and community responsibility through proactive education and initiatives, and render decisions on complaints of alleged academic and non-academic student misconduct.
Academic Misconduct
Academic misconduct includes plagiarism, cheating and any other form of misconduct that gives a student an unfair academic advantage or undermines research integrity. Academic misconduct is defined in the Student Academic Integrity Policy.
Non-academic Misconduct
Non-academic misconduct can include interpersonal misconduct, such as violence or harassment and University-related misconduct, such as disruption or property damage. Non-academic misconduct is defined in the Student Conduct Policy.
Academic Integrity Training and Resources
The new Student Academic Integrity Policy replaces the Code of Student Behaviour. The Foundations of Student Academic Integrity course provides an overview of the policy and is open to everyone in the U of A community.
