Hi! I'm currently the President and CEO of Solution 105 Consulting Ltd. and have been active in the energy industry for 40 years.  After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Alberta in 1985, I worked for EPCOR for 14 years, and completed an MBA on a part-time basis (U of A) in 1997.  This fanned an entrepreneurial spark, and in 1999 I started Solution 105, focusing on “Making Sense of Energy” for energy consumers in deregulated environments. Today, Solution 105 is a leading and award-winning global provider of complete utility management solutions.  We help people with ANY issues related to their building's utilities - utility companies, retail supply contracts, energy efficiency options, submetering (supply/install/read/bill/collect), carbon footprint and ESG reporting, and budget creation and ongoing budget variance reporting.

My interactions with the U of A have included being a sessional instructor (2000-2001), hiring one or two co-op students continuously since 2006, being a VMS Mentor, and offering a scholarship for OpsMgt students.

I'm active in the community on a professional and personal level, served on several boards (Chamber of Commerce 2006-2011, BOMA Edmonton 2005-2022), and enjoy family time, traveling, gardening, entrepreneurship, and trying to stay (get?) fit!
