The Alumni Association and the University of Alberta occasionally contact alumni by mail, email and phone with information on alumni events, services, and opportunities for giving. As has always been the case, your Alumni Association considers your privacy to be of utmost importance; it is a responsibility we take very seriously.
If you have any questions or concerns about your personal record, or would like to limit the kinds of contact you receive, please contact us.

Information collected in emails and web form
Information collected in emails and web form: The personal information requested by the Office of the Vice-President (External Relations) is collected under the authority of Section 33(c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be protected under Part 2 of that Act. It will be used for the purpose of alumni, donor engagement and philanthropic activities. The university has taken the position that members of the Alumni Association are members of a "club, association or voluntary organization" within the meaning of Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation, thereby giving the university automatic implied consent to send Commercial Electronic Messages to alumni members until that consent is withdrawn.
