Member At Large

Carmelle is a very proud alumna of the University of Alberta, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts. Carmelle has spent the majority of her career in the Marketing and Communications field, working within large corporations, non-profits and public sector organizations.  She's passionate about the intersection of strategy, culture and communication and the impact it has on organizational success.

During her University years, Carmelle was a member of a women's fraternity and has continued to be involved as a volunteer and mentor to young women at the University of Alberta. Recognizing the importance of lifelong connections, she was instrumental in reviving an Edmonton Alumnae Chapter as well as a University of Alberta Greek Alumni group. An avid historian and curious investigator, Carmelle is currently working on her Genealogy Certification.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Carmelle has been involved in community efforts such as the Edmonton WinterCity project, the Kids with Cancer Society and YESS. She lives in Edmonton with her husband Dan, two kids who are both attending the University of Alberta, and two rambunctious dogs. Carmelle loves to get off the beaten path, whether it's in Edmonton's river valley, or in a far-flung destination eating amazing street food.
