e3 offers the flexibility to design your adventure in Berlin, combining rigorous academics with practical internships that bring your studies to life. From exploring the latest in tech and business to diving into Berlin’s legendary arts scene, e3 Berlin offers an experience unlike any other—one that’s as dynamic and multifaceted as the city itself.
e3 Berlin combines:
- German language study
- Academic coursework
- Internship placement (work or research) when you sign up for a language or academic class

e3 is open to ALL post-secondary students from all disciplines. Non-University of Alberta students are welcome to apply!

Fees
UAI Nomination Fee: $250
Program fee: $1050 e3 Berlin Program Fees Explanation
Tuition: approx. $700 for Spring/Summer courses
Non-instructional Fees: See here
Students may take up to three modules. The amount students pay depends on the number of components students participate in.

- Contesting the Past: Catastrophe and Memory in Politics in Germany
- Dr. Michael Litwack leads Contesting the Past: Catastrophe and Memory in Politics, which examines how political memory shapes contemporary Germany and the ways in which historical trauma is remembered.
Psychology 305/302
Dates: July 21 - August 13, 2025
- Dr. Ben Dyson teaches The Psychology of Board Games, where students will explore how board games impact perception, memory, and collaboration. The course provides a unique lens to understand the cognitive and social dynamics of game play.
