The Integrative Biology major will enhance your ability to assess the world through the scientific lens. Through in-depth and hands-on learning, learn to apply the biological foundations of evolution, function, and development across three levels of biological organization (cells, organisms, and ecosystems). The flexibility within this newly designed major will expose you to a wide variety of advanced scientific discovery and nurture your appreciation for the diversity of life on earth!


Why study at the University of Alberta?

Augustana is a small campus located in Camrose, Alberta, just one hour southeast of Edmonton. This liberal arts and science campus is home to just over 1,000 students from across Canada and around the world. Augustana offers degree programs in an intimate and personalized setting, with an average class size of 22 people.

Each semester is comprised of a three-week session studying a single course, followed by a more traditional 11-week session studying up to four courses. This gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into research, travel, and other experiential learning endeavors, while at the same time reducing stress and workload.
