Kinesiology is the study of human movement as it relates to exercise science and athletic performance.
The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program is a science-focused degree that specializes in the promotion of health, the prevention and management of chronic disease, and the enhancement of human performance.
We also offer a Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) degree, which takes a broader and more interdisciplinary approach.

Kora, from Seoul, South Korea, was always interested in body image and how that relates to exercise and well-being, but had never heard of a kinesiology degree until she got to the U of A. Once she heard about it she knew it could help her explore her interests in weight stigma and how it relates to fitness.

Because the U of A wants you to succeed, our admissions policy ensures that all students, regardless of citizenship, have the language skills they need to understand, participate and learn in our classes. The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculté Saint-Jean, is English.
